What this is

A diary you keep for yourself, rather than in notes that some outside cloud reads along with you. You sign in here with your own username and password — no third-party account is involved — and an entry can be marked encrypted, in which case it is stored ciphered with a key that lives only on this server, or with a passphrase of your own if you would rather the server could not read it back either.

Entries are written in Markdown, given a mood and any tags you like, and found again by searching titles, text and tags. A calendar shows the days you wrote on, and the statistics view charts how the moods have gone.

What it does

• Markdown entries — headings, lists and emphasis, rendered when you read them back.
• A mood on every entry, kept as a log the statistics view plots over time.
• Tags and search across titles, entry text and tags, with the matching passage marked in the result.
• A calendar of the month, showing which days have an entry.
• Export — everything you have written, as Markdown, JSON or a PDF.
• Optional encryption at rest, switched on per entry, with your own passphrase if you want one.
• Works offline — it installs to the home screen and keeps working without a connection.
